BrightLemming (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you download, install, and use the Manual Malfunction application (the “Application”) distributed via the Meta Horizon Store.
1. Application Architecture & WebXR
The Application operates as an application package (APK) that loads and renders WebXR content hosted on our remote web server.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, process, or store:
- Personal identity data (such as your name, email, or Meta user ID)
- Biometric, head/hand tracking, or spatial/room sensor data
- In-game behavioral analytics, telemetry, or performance tracking
- Advertising identifiers, cookies, or tracking pixels
All VR tracking and input processing occur locally on your device in real time solely to run the experience and are never transmitted to our servers.
3. Automatically Processed Server Logs (IP Addresses)
When the Application launches and requests assets from our web server, standard automated server logs are generated. These may include:
- Your Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Date and time of the connection
- Basic device/browser user-agent information
Purpose & Retention: This data is processed strictly for essential technical purposes: serving application assets, diagnosing connection errors, ensuring server stability, and preventing malicious activity (such as DDoS attacks). Server log files are automatically overwritten or deleted on a standard rotation schedule and are never cross-referenced to identify individual users.
4. Meta Platform Services
Because you download the Application through the Meta Horizon Store and run it on a Meta Quest device, Meta Platforms, Inc. may collect account, system, and hardware telemetry according to their own privacy policies. We do not receive, access, or control this data.
5. Children’s Privacy
The Application does not collect personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
